Andrew Yeliseyev and Alex Kreger's vision was to design the simplest, most beautiful banking app in the world, without compromising on full-scale banking functionality. Their inspiration stemmed from nature, resulting in a design that is both light and simple. The Light Bank UX Design Concept aims to inspire a change in the banking industry, demonstrating that finance doesn't have to be complicated or boring.
The uniqueness of this design lies in its simplicity and beauty, coupled with a comprehensive digital banking experience. The team dared to create the most delightful mobile banking user interface, proving that it's possible to maintain full-scale digital banking functionality. The design was realized using UX deliverables via paper, Google Docs, UXPin, and UI deliverables via Sketch App, After Effects, InVision. It was specifically designed for the iPhone X.
The design project commenced in March 2018 in Riga, Latvia, and was completed in August 2018. The team conducted extensive research into user personas to gain insight into customer needs, which helped them engineer the UX strategy, Information Architecture, and User Journey Map. The main challenge they faced was to transform complex multi-feature banking into a user-friendly, intuitive interface. They achieved this by considering usage patterns and habits, customer perception, and cognitive psychology biases.
The Light Bank UX Design Concept is more than just a banking app; it's a testament to the power of human-centered design. The design team's goal was to demonstrate that a financial product can be simple, visually appealing, and pleasant to use. They drew inspiration from nature, integrating it into the banking solution to provide a design approach that differs from the norm in banking design.
Andrew Yeliseyev and Alex Kreger's innovative design didn't go unnoticed. The Light Bank UX Design Concept was awarded Silver in A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that exhibit outstanding expertise and innovation.
